More of May

 May 2023

More of  May.  More and more and more of May.  I was drowning this month.  We had plumbers, painters, awards assemblies, two graduations, my Utah trip, Brian's Utah trip, my dad leaving town for two weeks, grad party planning, callings....and so much May.  Here pictures that don't get their own post.

I go visit my parents at least once daily.  It helps that they are just 8 houses away.  Grandpa and Gram just loving on their babies.  (Kaide and the baby doll Kayla)  I usually love on my mom and "visit" with her and the caregivers.  I don't always see my dad.  He is sometimes on the computer or phone in the back, working out, eating out or running errands.

Taco Villa Monday on Wednesday at Rosas.  Grandpa snapped this picture of me and Aub.
The Kaidster looking adorable.
Had a volleyball tank top order.  Getting the font to outline was very time consuming, but it felt good to make these happen.  I'm really glad Tamara, a v-ball mom friend and part of the booster club, reached out to me.
Throw back to when Aub was in Kinder or 1st and wrote this cute note to the tooth fairy.  Also, I love that the boys were photo bombing and thinking they were so hilarious.
Dear Tooth Fairy, Can I keep it?  It is special because I lost it at school! Love, Aubrey
The last of Erin's original missionaries got transfered, sniff sniff.  We will miss Elder MacDonald.
Sunday night at the Vores.  Pretty cute to see Hud, Aub and La visiting, and Grandpa Honey enjoying Megan and baby Grace.  (Me and Grandma Honey in the mirror.)
Tanner cooking some London Broil that Anna so generously shared with us.  I was impressed that he wanted to try.  He did a great job.
I bought a new dress in Utah that I was pretty excited about.  It's much easier to find modest clothing there.  Anyway...guess who wore it first? (and for sure best!)  #momlife
I love reading to Kaide.  Aub snapped these pictures.  "There's a Monster in Your Book" is intense, and he loves it!  There is shaking and tilting and blowing and making loud noises.  We get into it.
Kaide and Aub playing.
Early one morning Tanner and I headed to my parents for Senior pictures.  I watched my mom until the caregivers came, and my dad graciously took and edited amazing grad pictures of Tanner.  Gram enjoyed seeing him before he left.  Mornings are usually her best time of day.
Mojo Pride Awards assembly.  He's smiling on the inside…I think. Tanner was recognized for a $2000 scholarship he received to UTPB, top 10% and earning an associates.
Tanner and Julian have been great friends since elementary school.
Char had a mini pet business at school.  She and a friend made origami type dogs with collars and food bowls and headstones (for when they got squished) and sold them for $2.00 each.  She asked Britney if she thought maybe "Aunt Ernie" (me) could make her a shirt for her business.  Brit laughed and said no.  She knew I was drowning in plumbers and Permian volleyball shirts and teaching the weekly marriage class at church.  When I heard Char's request though, I had to make time!  I put the brakes on my planned projects and whipped up a printable design from her logo.  I wanted Char to be able to help, so I loaded up my stuff and headed to my parents.  They visit there each afternoon for about 15 minutes before it's time to get the boys.
Char and Ella both made a bag, and we made a shirt for Charlotte.  She was thrilled.
The Idaho Gwilliams: Eric, Kris, Jack, Henry & Macy (Max couldn't make it.)
Brian was able to go up to Utah for Kyle's wedding and to celebrate his parent's 60th anniversary.
Keith and his girlfriend Kristen visiting with Grandma and Grandpa Gwilliam
Lindsey, Bryn and Megan Aub saw this picture and tentatively asked if Megan was expecting.  Sometimes those things don't make it all the way down the line to the kids.  Whoops.  She's due in early June.
Bri, Joyce, Jerry, Bryn
Cute cousins
The day after the wedding everyone gathered for a family dinner to celebrate Joyce and Jerry's 60th wedding anniversary.  I really wish I could have been there for this.  (Too hard with just coming back from Utah and all of Tanner's grad stuff we needed to get done.)
I love this picture of Andrew and Brinley cracking up.
Kaitlyn with her little family.  Levi and Riley
Grandpa and Blake
Eric, Karol and Joyce

Brian had a wonderful time with Brinley and his extended family.

Parker is on the back row.  He is 2nd to the right.  Last zone conference before President and Sister Young head home.
More volleyball shirts!  This time for a club team.  I love having a hobby that helps me earn extra money.  It's a lot of fun.  (Thelma, if you're reading this, I can do shirts now!)

Last day of school picture for Aubrey Joyce.
Took Mom for a ride.  She was glad to get out of the house.  We stopped by one of her caregivers houses to say hi.  Alma is a friend from church.  We enjoy walks together often.
Her caregiver, and my friend, Heidy giving her a foot rub.  These ladies do an amazing job of loving and caring for my mom.

Aub had her group over again.  I love it when they come.  They made cakes and decorated it with guys they thought were hot.  I can't remember how else they filled their evening, but they had fun.

Maiya Morgan and Macy McCloud
My friend, Katie Sorenson, from Odessa 2nd reached out about going together to the temple.  I'm so glad.  It was fun to catch up with her.  She has five little kids ranging from 2-10.  She homeschools, and we have been in different wards for years.  She is an amazing lady, and it's fun even with our age difference that we became/have remained friends.  We had a great time visiting up and back and eating at Chuy's after the session.
Moroni got struck by lightening!
Kaide's hair has been in his face for months.  Aub and I took matters into our own hands and put this little ponytail in while Tanner was gone.  Ha!  Brian said Kaide was too pretty to have a ponytail, and I agree. I felt better for him though so he could see without looking through his hair.
WELL....this happened on Memorial Day.  Well, not the first picture (silly boys) but the second one!  A big congratulations to Tanner and Erin!
Tanner would have proposed a week or two earlier, but he could never get a chance to ask Ruben's permission.  Tanner would be at Erin's house alone with Kaide while Erin was at work.  However, Ruben would be at his son's soccer game or out of town.  Finally, one night when Tanner and Erin were at our house, he made up some excuse and dashed down the street to see if Ruben was home.  He was and a day or two later, Tanner asked her.
He bought a cute little picnic basket online and lots of yummy food at the store.  They enjoyed a fun picnic date together.  Now on to planning the wedding.
