My grandfather, Hal Fanning, self published a book with his short stories and poems and a song he has written over the years. The book is beautiful and a wonderful keepsake we will treasure. He had a book signing at my parents. It was all very exciting and fun. We were surprised to find out that everyone received their very own copy. Our children have read many sections and taken the book to school and shared with their teachers. Pretty adorable.

Papa with his editor and a family friend Don Bonifay. Don spent hundreds (thousands?) of hours helping Papa edit, type, format and eventually publish his book.

Aubrey reading hers. The book has fun pictures of family spread throughout that go along with some of the poems. |

It was really so cute how everyone got comfy and read away. |

The girls headed outside because it was time to go, and I found them on the sidewalk reading. |
