This was a pretty chill week.
Parker talked Tanner into going to track afterschool one day. Tanner was reluctant but kind of bored, so he went. One coach Parker jokes around with a lot teased Tanner throughout the whole practice. (Parker said he would have died if it was his first day of track and that happened to him.)
The coaches were excited to have Tanner there. He is athletic and in shape, and they know Parker's abilities. Tanner wasn't a fan of day one and dreaded going back the next day. Luckily after school pick up games started in basketball, and he used that as an excuse to "peace out."
Parker's girlfriend Bethani comes over everyday for about an hour before they head to Senate. Grandpa has been teasing Parker and then told him he was going to show up at 2:00 the next day. Park was pretty sure Grandpa was going to embarrass him and call him a creep a few times as well. Gramp was on his best behavior though and joined Parker and Bethani in a game of darts.Hot chocolate bombs have been big this winter. I ordered 100 these molds from China in January and instead of taking 10 days, they took about 6 weeks to arrive. I delayed 2 weeks in taking pictures and listing them but finally got around to it this week. Zero sales so far. No bueno, but not the end of the world. I think they will sale next Nov/Dec if not now. Also, because they were so delayed my money was refunded. They go up on PYP next week so hopefully I'll get a few sales there.
I also purchased farmhouse beads on Amazon. I needed one set but the best deal came with four or five sets so I took pretty pictures and sold them on FB Marketplace for a great profit. It was nice to focus on selling just a little bit more and hear that cha-ching sound again. My dad sent me this picture from my freshman year at BYU. I had a fabulous year and having Thelma Dahl (Davis) for a roommate was Amazing! We still keep in touch with our freshman friend group. Thelma especially keeps in touch with our friend Adam Davis because she married him.
One thing kind of related to this blog is she shared her love for journal writing with me. I don't ever think I had thought of it as something to look forward to or enjoy. She faithfully wrote in her journal and to this day she blogs five days a week. I began writing faithfully in a journal and have really enjoyed the practice since then. Thanks Thelma Lou!
We have been sending everyone to the dentist the past month. Aubrey also had an appointment to check out braces. Pricey!....which we knew, but still.
Parker had a track meet: West Texas Relays. His relay team won first in the 4x2 and he placed 4th in the 200. He's fast!
It was the windiest day we've had this year. Dirt was blowing everywhere. It was gross. I didn't mind wearing my mask at all. Tanner came to support. He was regretting it because it was so long, cold and windy. Track meets are super long and drawn out. He left after Parker's relay.
Me and my handsome guy.
On Saturday night, we went out to eat at Olive Garden. Aubrey was at Breena's so she didn't come. Parker was making fun of my cute new Texas shirt. Parker kept teasing me about my "pride" shirt. I just thought it was cute, but he says it's an LGBT shirt. I'm still going to wear it w/ pride.
