Tanner's 17th Birthday

Tanner turned the big seventeen.  We celebrated him at our Sunday night get together and then the night before his birthday.

Tanner is generous, stubborn, funny, hard working, smart, determined and handsome.  I'm so glad he is part of our family.

Sunday night gathering at Kerry's.  Holden gifted him these little glasses he messed with this summer when Gavin Brown was in town and the three of them hung out together at Holden's.  They also gave him $20.

I forgot to take pictures!  We actually forgot to open presents while most people were there too.  Whoops.  We had some yummy candy bar cake and ice cream too.

We opened presents the night before because we looked at our schedules the next day and it was rough getting them to line up.  (I think Tanner had early morning basketball practice and Aubrey had a volleyball game that evening.)
We gave him new basketball shoes and a large container filled with his favorite treats.
Aub was super generous.  He took good care of her in January on her birthday, and she wanted to reciprocate.  She gave him a case of Dr. Pepper, three individual ice creams and some candy.  He was appreciative!

Darn boy doesn't cooperate with pictures much...always makes weird faces.  I'm glad we got the one together below.
When I think of Tanner, I still think of him as my little boy.  However, here I am looking up at him.  I guess he isn't so little anymore.  Happy 17th Tan Man.  We love you!
