Sunday Night Christmas Lights

Instead of heading straight to someone's house for our Sunday night family gathering, we decided to meet a look at Christmas lights together first.  We headed to the Emerald Forest subdivision where they go all out with Christmas decorations.  We handed out hot chocolate and then enjoyed visiting while walking the two blocks of lights.  Afterwards we met at my parents.  Due to my mom's health, they didn't go see the lights.  Visiting with everyone at their house was a great way to top off our Sunday night get together.

I love that Aub is rocking pj pants and slippers.

Grandpa put some pictures and videos from Lauron's Black Magic show up on the T.V.

He also shared some of his seminary gift basket with the fam.  We loved trying the freeze dried candies.  (Skittles, Tootsie rolls, Jolly Ranchers)
The same night we looked at lights, some members from Brinley's mission sent us these photos.  I think she said this tree had over 100,000 lights on this tree!

After Brinley was home, I asked her to tell me more about this tree because they used it to share the gospel.  She said there was free hot chocolate, a nativity video, chalk boards where people could write prompts like "Christmas to me means.....", a spot to take pictures, a QR code that linked you to information on the tree of life and missionaries there ready to start conversations and answer questions.
Sunday night Christmas lights were fun for all of us.
