Thanksgiving Break

November 2018
We have had a fun Thanksgiving break.  I took Brinley, Parker and Aubrey out (separately) shopping for clothes.  The girls both needed fall/winter church clothes.  Parker needed sweats and we were looking for some clothes he liked to wrap up for Christmas.  Tanner and Aubrey have had lots of friend time with Gavin and Londyn Brown, Lauron Vore and Avery McKown.  Parker and Brinley have mixed a little bit of work (Park-lawn care, Bryn piano and babysitting), with a little bit of friends and a lot rest.  Everyone has watched movies and football and just enjoyed hanging out with no set agenda.  We also pulled the Christmas decorations from the attic and began decorating.  Brinley stayed up one night until 2 a.m. finishing up the bookshelf--bless her!!!!!

It's been fun and crazy that our family is finally on the same page again.  We have a houseful of teens.  (Well...one preteen but...)  We have late nights of hanging out and then the kiddos all sleep in the next day.  For example, as I type this it's 11:20 pm and here it what is happening at our house: I am blogging and doing the wash.  Brian and Tanner are watching a football game. (Brian is mostly sleeping.)  Parker is playing Fortnite.  Aubrey headed to bed around 10:30 once she finished her last batch of homemade pretzels.  And Brinley is practicing her Black Magic songs on the piano for their upcoming show.....all at 30 minutes to midnight.  It's mind boggling.

She's really good at baking.

Park looking good in his new b-day BYU shirt.

Didn't know she took these...but doesn't she look amazing!?
She begged for wedge heels to go with this outfit.  We may
kill her father off all in one shot.

Gavin and Tanner walked to KFC and almost gave me a heart attack.
They took FOREVER and when I went looking for them in the van they
were no where to be found.  I had all sorts of images of kidnappings,
cars accidents and having to call Amberly to tell her son fell in harms way under my watch.
I was very relieved when I finally saw them coming from the opposite direction than I expected.
We were reading scriptures at 8:45 one night and decided to catch the 9:15 movie.
We saw "The Grinch."  We were all pretty tired but it was a fun
outing and most of us thought it was pretty cute.  (A big thanks to Bryn for cooperating!)

We had the whole theater to ourselves at first and Tanner wouldn't sit with us.
Then another family came in and sat RIGHT next to Tanner.  It was hilarious.
He joined us pretty quickly after that and he kept saying "Why?  They could pick from the
entire theater and they sat right next to me-why?"  Good question!  I was glad
he joined our row.

She really has an eye for decorating and way more
patience than I do.  I am going to be sad next
year when Thanksgiving rolls around and she is not
home to help decorate!

Bryn faithfully working on decorations.  This
vase full of ornament balls is driving her batty.
I could post several more pictures of her pouring
these out and starting over...but I'll just share two!
