Taco Villa Monday and More

November 2022
Aubrey has been thrilled to go to Taco Villa Monday more often lately.  Usually once school starts, she can't go anymore.  However, we have worked some of her appointments (ortho etc) to be on Wednesdays near lunchtime, and she's been able to come.
The little Vores are faithful attenders of Taco Villa Mondays.  This one was at Rosa's and they were watching the tortilla making machine.

Aub tried something new this month: fake lashes!  She was excited to have them for the volleyball banquet.  They really made her eyes pop.  They are also really expensive and don't last long.  (two weeks-ish)  We paid for the first time and she paid for a touch up.  She's done for now and going to let her lashes and her bank account recover.

One of her best friends: Maiya Morgan
Volleyball season starts with summer league in July and then into crazy preseason in August.  The girls practice every night until 5:45 or later plus have games every Tuesday and Friday evenings.  Last year when it was time for the volleyball banquet, we were in trouble.  Aub had already started basketball and there just was so little time to find a dress.

This summer when we found this elegant long sleeve dress at Dillards, we bought it.  It was expensive, and was a little shorter than I would have liked, but the coverage everywhere else made it well worth it.  We bought it with the caveat that if she grew too much, we would have to go back to the drawing board.

She is growing and will probably never wear it again, but she looked gorgeous.  I was grateful she agreed to go with this dress as well.

Part of her team.  She was on JV Black.  Left-rt: Angie, Parker, Aub, Aliyah, ?, Maci, Nissi, ?, ?

I was able to keep Kaide one morning, and we walked over to visit my parents.  My mom was so sweet with him.  She doesn't process much these days and needs help 24-7.  It was really sweet to see how loving a baby was still very natural to her.

A rare afternoon date with Tanner.  He is a busy guy (seminary, school, work, girlfriend, baby.)  He wanted to vote for the first time, Government credit, so we went to an early voting site.  Then we grabbed some Wendy's and picked out some glasses for his new prescription.

Since volleyball ended, Aub's been extremely dedicated in working out every day.  Brian helped her with a weight routine schedule.  I realized later part of her motivation was a dinner date with him if she worked out for three weeks straight.  She did it, and now dinner is on Dad.

Speaking of Dad....here is a little father/daughter snuggle one evening.  She snuggles him.  She attacks me.  It's not fair!  For future times when I can't remember her attacks...she hangs on me, pretend chokes me, pushes me onto the couch, pushes me up against a wall.  It will knock my back out of whack and now Brian and I both have to remind her to be gentler!

This beautiful boy turned four months old!
Sneaky....both boys are having fun!  Tanner has a book out for Kaide and the controller underneath so he can play XBox.
A few more pictures of Kaide because let's be honest, my photo album is full of this little guy!

Ready for church
He got RSV the week before Thanksgiving.  It was kind of scary because this was his first illness and there have been lots of hospitalizations for RSV nationwide.  It was so good to see him smiling and hear him "talking" several days later once he felt better.

Tanner and Erin are amazing parents.  They take such great care of Kaide.
One afternoon, I walked into our kitchen and Tanner and Erin were both at the table on computers doing homework.  Tanner had Kaide tied to him with his sweatshirt and a book in front of him as well.  Pretty cute.
