Back Together Again

Texas eased restrictions on May 1st, and even though I didn't really have any place I needed to go, I did stop at a couple of craft stores.  I felt like I could breathe a little deeper.  I am so DONE with this quarantine thing.  (And yet, I am not.  I will still wear a mask in public, gather only in small groups, carry hand sanitizer, and wash my hands a million times a day.)  But still!  Fresh Air!!!

Chris sent out an invite to join them at their pool that afternoon, and we were all for it.  When I walked into their house, I did a slow spin.  I think it was the first time I had been in a house other than my own for six weeks.  Magical!
Christ, Ang and I visited while the kiddos played.  Ang brought her homework out and Chris had his laptop....but mostly we just caught up.  (Brian was the lucky guy working outdoors in the 99° heat.)
The boys had some b-ball game going at the beginning.  If you made your shot from the diving board, the other person had to jump in the pool.  Parker made it.  Tanner ran.  Parker scooped him up and jumped in.
It was cute to see Brinley and Charity catching up.  Charity will be heading to BYU this fall, and Brinley will be on her mission in Idaho.  I hope they will have a few more opportunities to hang out together.
Parker, Tanner and the girls played a few games together.  I think knockout and basketball.
Aubrey had spent the night with Lauron, and they swam earlier.  They eventually joined us, but I didn't take any pictures.  Aub sent me this one from their fancy breakfast they made and enjoyed at the pool that morning.
We ended up staying for burgers.  It was so wonderful being with people again...some of my very favorite people!
