Super Bowl Sunday

February 7, 2021
We had a nice Sunday.  It's wonderful to be meeting back up at church.  We are having ward council and RS activities once a month.  The youth are starting to meet every week instead of twice a month or not at all.

I took a selfie before church because my sweet friend Michele Thielker gifted me several different gorgeous necklaces she made.  She used to have a jewelry business and so all of the gems are real.  Eeek.  I am definitely more of a no jewelry or costume jewelry type of a gal but aren't these pearls gorgeous?  And it is seriously so sweet of her to share with me and the girls for dressing up occasions.
Most of the older couples haven't been attending church during the pandemic.  In fact, the church sent out a letter basically asking anyone in high risk groups not to attend.  However, Jim and Sandy's great granddaughter was being blessed and so they came in person.  I love these two.  Sandy was my Young Women's leader for many years.  Jim served as a counselor when Brian was bishop.  I grew up with their sons.  It was a delight to see them all dressed up and in person for church.

Moving on to the evening activities: Sunday night gathering and The Super Bowl.  We usually don't watch tv on Sundays but there are a couple of exceptions.  The Super Bowl is definitely one of them. We gathered at the Bird's shop this year and enjoyed watching on four huge TV screens Adam made into one huge screen.  The majority of us just had a normal Sunday night of visiting with family.  My boys, of course, were all about the football game.  We had the best food spread: chips, spinach dip, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, M&M popcorn, wings, and I can't remember what else...but I ate way too much.  It was a really fun Sunday night overall.

Charity, Parker, Ella and Kate
Tanner, Holden and Parker  No cooperation...any of the good pictures of my kids in this post are from cameras besides my own.  This one I clearly tried to take.  I'm going to beat these boys with wet noodles.

Char and Ella...notice Adam's TV setup on the wall.  (Ella was being silly on purpose...learning from the teens probably.

Park and Holden...and maybe someone else under that blanket.  This couch was pretty cute because for quite awhile it was Park, Tanner, Braddock and Holden hanging out.  They are big boys so they were snuggling pretty closely on the loveseat.

 The big group shot.
