Graduation 2021

May 29, 2021
A few pictures from the big night!
We took all of these pictures beforehand and then realized he wasn't wearing his hat.  Darn!
We didn't "make" the kids come, but we did ask them to get dressed for a quick picture before Parker left for the ceremony.
Missing our Brinley Kate for sure.

I love this picture of Tanner, Parker and Aubrey.
Grandparents on both sides watched via the online link.  Covid blessing for sure!
Parker sent us this selfie they took before graduation started.  LOVE it!  Bethani Fierro, Harper Terry, Paker, and Austin Jacobo
Brian and I left our house at 6:30 and graduation started at 8:30.  We had to stop by my parents and get chairs and then there was an accident along the way.  Ratliff Stadium is probably 12 minutes from our house, but we didn't make it to the stadium until about 7:30.  Then we almost didn't make it into the stadium because we forgot our tickets at home.  Sheesh.  (Due to Covid, they limited guests and gave each graduate 15 tickets.)  Luckily one of the ticket takers let us go in.

There were a lot of kids!  See the little yellow arrow?  That is Parker at the very back.  He had a terrible view, and the actual ceremony lasted at least two hours.  The audience could watch the huge screen behind the students on the other end of the field.
I can't remember how many Parker said graduated... 700+ I think.  We were close enough to see him on the field though thanks to Marc and Nicole Brown letting us squish in their row.  Park had his Apple watch on, and we were able to text back and forth a little which was fun!

Bethani on the big screen.  She was Student Senate president this year and did some introductions and offered the opening prayer.
Her parents teased her and said they would pay her $100 if she took a selfie while she was up there.  Parker was sure she would not do it.  SHE DID!!!  It was awesome.  She did the intros and then said something like, "and I would like to take one last selfie with our graduation class."  She turned around, snapped it and then said the prayer!  I think I would have been worried the principals would march me off the stage for going off script.  They threatened quite a bit to keep those kids in line.

Park had several good friends graduate in the top 10.  Their parents were on the field and several sent us these awesome close up photos.
Permian High Class of 2021!  See Parker?  He is the 4th person in wearing his yellow stole for Honor Society.  (He also had cords for Student Senate and Students in Philanthropy.  His medals were for his Mojo Spirit Scholarship and Outstanding Male Athlete.  Pretty impressive!)
Harp and Park with their teacher Mrs. Weaver. (I think she taught them Science 10th grade year.  Maybe it was math?  I'm not sure, but she was a favorite.)
One last photo after the ceremony.  Parker with his two besties: Cole Brannan and Harper Terry

Congratulations!  WE LOVE YOU PARKER BRYCE!
