Me, Dear and Dad

Park loves to tease.  He's 18 1/2 and likes to announce that he is in charge because he is an adult now.  The past few months he'll get a little twinkle in his eye and randomly say something like, "Me, Dear and Dad have decided that you should be doing your homework right now."  (I am "Dear" by the way.  That is what the kids have called me the past year or two.  Sometimes Tanner calls me "Dearber.")

Or we will be sitting around the dinner table, and Brian or I will mention something about after dinner chores.  Parker, with a big grin, will quickly pipe in and say, "Yes! Me, Dear and Dad think you should do your after dinner chores right now."

Or, if one of the kids is asking us to go somewhere, he might puff out his chest and say, "Well, me, Dear and Dad don't think that is a good idea."

He's silly, and we love him.  Tanner and Aubrey just roll their eyes and ignore him.  I can't help but to crack up when he makes his little announcements.  I'm going to miss this crazy kid a lot when he flies out to Ghana.

Dear, Me & Dad---the adults in charge
