A few random photos from September:
I took Butter to the vet. She's so pathetic. When we got in the room, she hid behind my chair and faced the corner....and nobody else was even in the room with us. Poor baby. She almost always wets herself once the staff approaches her. She growls and snaps at the vet too. I don't blame her. Going to the vet is not my happy place either...too many animals, lots of gross smells...I feel like I need to change clothes and shower when I get home.
Sadly I had a few of my own doctor's appointments this month and last month as well. My right ear has been giving me grief since our D.R. trip the first of July. First it felt like water was trapped in it. Then it was hurting. I thought I had an ear infection. I did a doctor's visit over the phone and got swimmer's ear drops. Then I couldn't hear out of it very well. I felt like I had a conch shell over my right ear. It was super annoying and distracting. I had my regular doctor look at it at my check up. She exclaimed, "Oh wow! You have a scab over that ear."
Then I had to see an ENT....Twice...Ugh. He couldn't remove the scab because it was so dried out on my ear. (Maybe from my over the phone diagnosis of swimmers ear diagnosis and ear drops to dry it up?) I had to do baby oil drops in my ear for 10 days and visit him again. He was able to get the scab right off and instantly my ear troubles were gone. Phew!
It was frustrating because our insurance doesn't pay for specialist until we meet a $3000 deductible. So, four doctor's appointments, nine weeks and $340 later, my ear is healed. I'm honestly very relieved and grateful though.
The scab was in the shape of my eardrum. Dr. Nwojo was impressed. We were invited to a barbecue at the Martins. I was glad Tanner was willing to go and that Erin came as well.
Uncle Nate and Beth had big news. Notice anything sparkling on her left hand?! They have been dating for several years, and we actually often refer to Beth as "Aunt Beth." It's nice to make it official!I'm so grateful Brinley and Parker are serving missions. I miss them. I have their pictures up in my bathroom. I love getting ready each day and seeing their pictures on my bathroom mirror.
Pretty cousins! Stevie turned 18 this month. She was cute to include/invite Aubrey and Lauron to her b-day party.
I was on a walk one night and the moon was so bright and so beautiful with the clouds. I'm a sad girl because the three Gwilliams at home are not very willing to go on walks with me.
Gram fell while Grandpa was at seminary. She hit her head in a few places and got this really bad black eye. Luckily after a week or two she was feeling better again.
I snapped this picture after a game. Aubrey was cracking up at the height difference and said, "well, I guess that's what happens when a hitter takes a picture with the back row girls."
Grandpa got a new hard boiled egg cooker. Britney and I stop by almost every morning to visit Gram and say hello. He is always trying to pawn eggs on us. We both like eggs...but just don't always want to eat a hard boiled egg. It's turned into a little joke. I took this picture on my walk home and Britney texted back, "Don't encourage him!"
Snuggle time with "Popsie." (Bri loves to tease Aubrey. Lately he will joke around and refer to himself as Popsie. She freaks out. Where does he come up with this stuff?! I don't know, but he keeps us laughing. We are getting our house painted! I'm so excited. We are keeping the same colors, but we have old wood and peeling paint. It will be a nice facelift.
