Cousin Gift Exchange 2023

Our annual cousin gift exchange is always so much fun.  The invite says the 22nd but it actually happened on the 23rd due to the Chris Vore cousins' flights being delayed.  We usually try to squeeze this in on the Sunday night before Christmas if possible.  With all of the cousins, it's getting trickier to schedule.  It was fun doing it in the morning a few days before Christmas though.  That we we aren't monopolizing all of the evenings with Vore family activities.  (The in-laws might just want to have some Christmas gatherings with their families as well.😂)

Some years we do drawings but mostly I try to just rotate the names down the list for who is gifting to whom.  We try to keep gifts around $25.  I love that it's a few days before Christmas, because opening a gift early is more memorable and adds to the fun.  Here are a few pictures:

Benja and Maddie had Tanner (and Erin)  They got him a nice BYU jacket and her a candle.  (Definitely over the limit...ha.)

Joseph and Kate gave Brinley jewelry, I think.

It's really cute to see the cousins interacting with each other exchange.  Aub got Benja and Maddie a JackBox game pass.  They were excited.

Bryn gave Char a Spiralgraph and word magnets. 

We have a new cousin!  Atleast for now.  This is Rayne and she is Erin and Jeff's foster child for the next two years at least.  She is adorable and fits right into the chaos and fun.  She gave Aubrey a candle and a gift card to McDonalds.  Perfect gifts for Aub Daub!

Tanner gave Rayne a cradle for her baby dolls, a headband and a cute sleep mask.  (She is in Kindergarten and loves all things girly.)

Char and Bryn  The Birds are really glad she is home from her mission, but a little annoyed that she isn't around much because of school in Utah.

I found this cute tablecloth at HEB one day and made a $5 impulse purchase.  It was a lot of fun to see groups gathered around the table visiting and coloring.  Benja, Christian, Hud, Maddie, Kate and Rayne

Almost all of the Vore cousins!  (Parker is on a mission and the Merkleys weren't there. They live in Dallas and Beck doesn't come at Christmas.)  They are getting so old!!!
