It was a pretty good Tuesday. After picking up Middle school kiddos (Tanner, Aubrey and Holden), we headed home and I had 15 minutes before taking Aub to dance in Midland. Dinner was almost done (Citrus lime pulled pork tacos-they sounded so good in theory) and Brinley finished the rest. I stashed the XBox remotes and both boys willingly spent time doing homework. Sadly, Park has a swollen hand from being cleated in practice. It looks bad and I am hoping it's not broken. (I am also hoping we don't have to get an x-ray because we just did that w/ Aubrey's sinus issues and it was $926 out of pocket. Ugh.)
Brinley was given some music for the Black Magic Christmas show so she has been practicing on and off all evening. Park's after dinner chore was to walk Buttercup and we went together. I love going on walks...especially with my children. Brian has had two very long days in a row and was in bed by 8:00. To finish the night we had a pretty successful family scripture and prayer. (No arguments, not much complaining, and I feel we actually learned a few things.) Instead of reading 10 minutes from the D&C, we spent 10 minutes reading a short article from the New Era which included some scriptures from the Doctrine and Covenants and why they are important in our day. We also read Sam Gwilliam's missionary email. All in all it was a very pleasant evening.
Found this selfie on my phone today. She is so pretty. |
Got to plug the Shutterfly 2017 family album. Love it when the kiddos seem to enjoy looking at it. (Hard to tell from his face he is enjoying it...just trust me!) |
When Park and I came back from our walk, this was the scene from our front window. Brinley playing the piano makes me so happy. |
I came in and took one so we could see what the scene actually looked like. |
Park and I hanging out after the walk. |
Tanner didn't hug anyone after scripture and prayer....Bryn gave him a little loving. (and of course he had to make a face as soon as he saw me whip out the phone to take a picture.) |
