First day of the boys refereeing soccer this fall. It was actually supposed to start last week but we had the temple trip. The boys were not pleased with the conflict and we were heading to the temple anyway; but when the games got rained out it was a win-win. Brian and I are glad the boys are learning the importance of work and are busy on Saturdays. Both Tanner and Parker appreciate having a way to earn extra but one thing they really love about reffing is the snacks they provide. They definitely eat their way through each Saturday.
Tanner worked from 8:30-2:30 today and when I picked him up he was all smiles. (That is a rare expression for Tanner.) He was glad he got to work but was also glad to already be done for the day. He wanted to go home and watch some college football, do his chores, finish his Spanish project and play Fortnite...and he had plenty of time to do it all. He grinned and began telling me all he ate between games. It's an impressive list: at least 20 fruit roll ups, 3 donuts, 2 Dr. Peppers, 2 waters, a bag of Cheez Its, 6 wings and a piece of pizza. He currently only weighs 100 lbs. How did all of this food fit in his body in a six hour period? It's a mystery.
