July 1-6, 2019

A Quick Glance at the Week
Shutterfly came out with their unlimited pages sale.  With half my kids being out of town, I thought I would try to whip out our 2018 family album.  Anyone who makes online books knows there is no whipping out a 110 page book....but I did make it through July.  I guess I will have to continue working on it and wait for the next big sale.

Because I focused on the scrapbook, I didn't get any blogging in but I wanted to at least document the highlights.  It was Bri and his girls this week and it was pretty calm.  We ate out some.  We had a fun 4th of July starting with a pool party and barbecue at Chris' and ending with fireworks at Britney's.  Brinley was busy with work and YSA commitments throughout the week. (Institute Tuesday night, volleyball Friday night, cleaning the church Saturday morning and game night Saturday night)  Aubrey hung out with lots of friends: Avery, Londyn and Lauron.  La actually stayed with us from Friday-Monday because her family was out of town. The Merkleys were in town and it was fun to see that cute family again so soon.  Bri left to get the boys on Friday and they were home late Saturday afternoon.  All in all, it was a nice week.
I walked in on this splinter removal and I was cracking up.  Bri was wearing my lovely pink glasses. Bryn was holding Aubrey's hand AND the light for Brian.  Aub was trying to stay tough even though it hurt.

Aub has been begging to have a YouTube channel forever.  We finally gave her the okay and she has been one busy, busy girl.  She has been making and editing videos, brainstorming ideas and just happy/occupied in her creativity.  This is Aubrey, Avery M, and Londyn B heading into Hobby Lobby to make a video.

She made the cookies for our July 4th barbecue.  She made a video for her channel too.  Notice the phone placed strategically in the cabinet to get just the right shot.

Editing in this little spot by her charging cord.  She literally spent hours this week creating and editing which worked out perfectly b/c I was doing the same thing on Shutterfly.  It was so nice not to hear "I am bored. There is nothing to do."
Lauron and Aubrey having some down time and enjoying reading.

Swig Cookies.  They were delicious.

Bryn and Morgan celebrating their "friendversary" with a photo shoot.  It was four years ago at the Bird's fireworks celebration that they realized they could become great friends.

Aub painting Gavin's face.  The past two years she and Lauron have had a little table set up in the Bird's backyard and it's been a really fun added activity for the painters and painted.

Me and Amberly Brown  They are moving to Tennessee.  We LOVE this family.  They moved here four years ago and they have added friendship and spunk in our lives.  Amberly & I would take our group to the water park and visit like crazy while they played.  I was lucky enough to be called as her visiting teacher for several months.  We've had family dinners and a Six Flags trip. Taryn & Edyn filled a huge hole in Brinley's life.  She found true friends who had similar values and they made her teen years So Much Better.  Londyn and Gavin have been awesome friends to Aubrey and Tanner.  Even with the ward change and the fact that we live 20 minutes apart, we have remained close.  We will miss you dear Browns.
Aubrey and Londyn Brown.  I miss this crazy girl already!

Brit was a busy hostess.  Their 4th of July get together is awesome.  It's more like a ward party.  Many of our favorite friends and family members are there.  We have yummy food and lots of visiting.  Then Adam puts on an amazing fireworks show right in the backyard.  Amazing as in 30 minutes long and I have to distract myself from worrying about how much money they are blowing up with each burst.  Super fun gathering.

Blair with her favorite friend, Dylan.  I didn't do a very good job of taking picture this week but the Merkleys were in town.  Every time the kids would see me they would say "Where's Aubrey?"  Every time.

Ella.  This picture is the bomb.  If it doesn't say "Happy Independence Day" I don't know what does!  It's 10 pm and this girl is still decked out head to toe in red, white and blue.  Plus I love her fanny pack and her kitty cat attached to her backpack and her glow stick and her face paint and her headband and I especially love just her cute little self.

Glad the original "Merk" could come.  He is a good dad to his little group.
