Sleepover with Gram and Grandpa

Gram and Grandpa were out of town in Utah for a week.  We missed them.  On Saturday evening, a couple of hours after they flew in, Aubrey and Lauron walked over to welcome them home.  They came home super excited because they were invited to spend the night on Sunday.  I think in the next 24 hours I heard them bring it up at least 8 times.

Many years ago, during the summers, Grandpa would do a rotation and have each grandchild spend the night one time that summer.  It included games with Gram and Gramp, one on one time and of course, the POLAR BEAR challenge.  Well, Aubrey and Lauron were ready to create some more memories.  They headed over after our Sunday night get together.

Park, Brinley and I took a late Sunday night walk.  It was after 10 when we were walking past G & G's house and we noticed lights on in the room were the girls were sleeping.  We decided to creep up to the window and scare them.  The girls weren't in there though and we noticed more lights on so we headed inside.  We were surprised to see everyone bright eyed and bushy tailed and a game of Mormonopoly in full play.  Party animals this group!

The next morning they took the Polar Bear challenge.  They were planning 5 a.m. but I think they jumped in around 7 a.m.  (I was selfishly glad because I didn't want to deal with two sleep deprived girls all Monday.)  Grandpa had the hot tub heated and after their big jump, they headed right to it.

They finished up their time at Gram and Gramps with some Yoga and breakfast at IHOP.  We are very blessed to live so close to wonderful grandparents.
