Missing Presents

Three days before Christmas I realized I only had six gifts for Tanner under the tree but I had ten written down.  Everyone had about ten to open.  I was  a wreck.  I couldn't figure out where I had hidden his other gifts.  I looked in all my best hiding places, with no luck, and then searched again.  Brian, my mom and my sisters were trying to help me figure out what might have happened to them.  Brit and Beck and my brother's girlfriend Beth were giving me some last minute ideas on what gifts I could buy.

I finally sorted all the presents under the tree and unwrapped all of Tanner's gifts to figure out which ones were missing.  Then I started frantically pacing up and down store aisles trying to add a couple more presents.  I had purposely finished by Christmas shopping early so I could avoid the frantic last minute hustle and crazy stores.  It was the worst.  Tanner gives me the least to go on each year so it's already pretty tricky shopping for him.

I ended up buying him a few little things like a Subway gift card (Beth's idea) and Gushers, and I made him the Taco socks just to have another gift under the tree.  Then I started wondering if I had wrapped his presents but wrote Parker's name on them.  So I started worrying about that scenario and decided I better have an extra gift for Parker just in case so I threw in two gift cards for him.
Well, Christmas morning arrived and the boys were ribbing each other on how many gifts they had left to open.  Parker was giving Tanner a (friendly) hard time because he had more gifts left to unwrap.

The last few presents told the story and the mystery was solved.  I did wrap Tanner's gifts but wrote the label for Parker.  Whoops!  Sorry Parker.  (He took it like a champ.)  Tanner definitely got the better end of the deal.  The last minute extra large box of  Gushers I bought for Tanner was a big hit so a couple of days after Christmas, I bought some for Parker as well.

Until next year...
