My sweet mom has had a rough three and a half weeks. After putting away Christmas decorations and being in the dust (which she is allergic to), she ended up with a bad case of bronchitis.

She kept pushing on though because she wanted to be with all the children and grand children over Christmas break. She had friends coming in for her 50th wedding anniversary and was desperately wanting to spend time with them. Sadly, she just kept getting worse instead of better.
One day over the break she had a coughing/asthma attack, and we even called an ambulance as a precaution. It was terrifying. She ended up in bed for several days recovering and missed her own 50th party.
The picture below is one thing I LOVE and admire about my mom. On the first day she was able to get out of bed for just an hour or two during the day, this is what I found. She had her Come Follow Me book, her new study journal, and her scriptures spread across the kitchen table.
I think this image will be forever imprinted on my heart. It will be added to the images I have from childhood of her studying her scriptures and kneeling beside her bed in prayer. I am grateful for her gift of faith she quietly shares.
