Snow Day

We had a big storm coming through, and school was cancelled the day before.  It's been a few years since we've had a good snow in Odessa, and it was great to know the night before that we had the day off of school.  The boys were able to not worry about seminary or early morning workouts.  Aubrey was able to have a sleep over at Lauron's.  It made for a wonderful snow day.
Even though it was freezing, Aub tried to head over to Lauron's in shorts and with no shoes.  Silly girl.  I insisted she change into sweats and bring a pair of shoes.  I suggested she wear a coat, but she declined.  She pointed out to me the sweatshirt she was wearing.  Lucky for her, the Vores have plenty of ski gear.  They had a blast in the snow this morning.
We don't really do snow in the big O.  Parker took Buttercup around the house to the side door so she could have a bathroom break.  Wear some clothes my crazy boy!
I could tell Tanner was interested in the snow but wasn't going to take a step outdoors unless properly motivated.  Tate and Sawyer Terry were able to come over for the afternoon, and they had a great time.  They had fun playing football in the snow, building a snowman and just hanging out together.
Aub was home from La's and helped Tan and friends build this little guy.  I also made some snow ice cream which didn't turn out that great....too sweet.
Wouldn't be a true snow day without this mess at the front door....
Parker headed over to Cole's for the afternoon.  They went to Crossroads (a church) and had a huge snow ball fight with friends.
We wrapped up our night with snuggling, wrestling, a game of Bang and a movie: "Return to Me."
The roads are going to be worse tomorrow so....no school!   I hope tomorrow will be a fun friend and family filled day just like we experienced today.
