Girls Night

August 3, 2018
Last Friday my friend Katie Sorensen invited me to a girl's night at her house.  Katie and I became friends when we were both in Odessa 1st ward. We are at least 10 years apart in age and in totally different stages of life so it was a unique and fun friendship.  She is a very talented cook and would share recipes with me.  We swapped cookies and homemade bread.  She also taught me how to make pita bread.  She would do laundry at my house and I would enjoy her babies while mine were well past the baby stage and all in school.

Anyway, back to girl's night...she had her husband and kids tucked away in the master bedroom and we took over the living room and kitchen.  It was so much fun just to laugh and talk and catch up on each others lives.  We also had a delicious and healthy spread of food...wish I took a picture.  (Heaping trays of fruits and vegetables as well as hummus dip, chips and cookies.)  She also planned some fun "minute to win it" games.   I'm so glad I was included in her girl's night out.

Katie.  We had to wear these pantyhose on our heads and try to knock the cups over with the oranges.
