Dad of the Year

On Thursday Aubrey had a 6:30 game in Kermit which is one hour away.  The team was planning on leaving the school at 3:30 and making it back home by 10:00 pm.

She was sick on Wednesday, so although the coaches expected her to be at the game, they said she could not play in the game.  Ugh.  She had a ton of makeup work, finals are next week, and she would miss her math class again because it is her last core class of the day.

Dad to the rescue.

He got permission from the coaches and was willing to drive Aubrey to and from the game so she would:
1. miss less school
2. be able to do homework in the car
3. be home earlier.

They left at 5:15 and made it back at 9:15 pm.  FOUR hours to help his daughter satisfy the coaches and not be drowning in homework.  He didn't even get to watch her play.  That's an amazing dad for you.  (Brian is always this way....very selfless....we are blessed.)
He's also been her math tutor this year.  He will be working problems and watching YouTube videos while she is at school so he can help her when she comes home.  Seriously, Dad of the year.
