Flowers

This.

I am not even sure where to start.

Last week I was stuck at Sams Club trying to get Aubrey's new and needed inhalers.  However, because of the unexpected doctor's appointment my day was already hijacked and everything was going wrong at Sams. (In line at pharmacy. Expired card.  Long wait at guest service desk. They said the card was fine and could not renew it.  Back to pharmacy...which was now randomly closed? for 20 minutes due to a personal issue the pharmacist had.)  It was very stressful because I had a sick child at home and a very small window to get everyone fed and off to their respective activities.  It was also opening night of  Brinley's Black Magic.  I called Brian and he was able to take care of a couple of things on his way home from work.  I found some flowers for Brinley at Sams but it was slim pickings.   I ordered a large pizza at the deli, purchased the meds and was eventually on my way.

So back to the flowers....   Although the flower arrangement made it to the show and home, they did not make it into a vase that night.  The next morning I rescued them and put them in water.  For some reason, which I cannot remember now, I only cut some of the flowers shorter.  I kept meaning to even out the arrangement and take out the dead flowers but never did.  Then a mother at Tanner's baseball game gave the boys white roses to give their mothers so a  rose was added to the loveliness.  We have had this half dying, lopsided flower arrangement displayed in our kitchen all week.

It was bothering  but not enough to do anything about.  It also kind of cracked me up.  It just represented our family or maybe just life so well.  We each add beauty in our own way.  We aren't aren't too worried about perfection.  Things around our house are pretty clean and somewhat picked up most of the time...but just imagine that lovely arrangement and that is our lovely home!  Yesterday I finally threw it out and I breathed a big sigh of relief.  I didn't realize how much it was driving me crazy.

Today I woke up to this.  Thanks Brian.  (and I love the vase he put it in!)
