Basketball Season

Moving on to Basketball.

It was a little slower because we were down one game this week.  Tanner's football season is over and basketball hasn't started for him.  Honestly, that little break was kind of nice.

He did have basketball tryouts on Monday.  It was somewhat stressful though because there was only a one day tryout after school.  There are several boys who are in basketball for a class so the coaches know them and their abilities.  They have been practicing together for months.  Tanner, however, is in football....silly kid.

He had to try to stand out in the swarm of competitors.

And He Did!!!  He came to the car looking a little sick and he told Brian, "Next year, I am going to be in the basketball, not football."   I hope he will.  Basketball is what he truly loves to play and he is really good.  I think the problem is that all of his closest friends and his brother are in football, so he feels a little torn.

Aubrey found out she made A team for b-ball and had her first game this week.  She has never played basketball before and with the exception of one girl on her team, I think everyone was in the same boat.  It made for an interesting game.  Aubrey made some great steals and was close on several shots.  The Lady Admirals won 19-4.
Gram was able to come and support our/her girl.
