Weekend

November 8, 2019  (Posting a little late/out of order.  Whoops)

Parker had an exciting Friday night game against our biggest rival: Midland Lee.  Lee went into the game 9-0 and in a very close game, we beat them 42-39.  That made us co-district champions!  Here is a picture from the pep-rally.  Hopefully I will be able to add some celebration pictures later.

On Saturday, we had a pretty empty house.  Tanner and Brian did a quick shopping trip to buy basketball shoes.  (Tryouts are on Monday!)  Then, Tanner had a friend's birthday party that started at 1:00 pm and went until midnight.  (Well, it was a sleepover, but we picked him up at midnight.)
Julian T, Tanner, Jaden R and Mason S  I think they were all trying to be the tallest.  These four have  been good friends since they were on the same soccer team together in the 5th and 6th grades.  It will be interesting to see how their heights works out.  Looking at their parents I think Jaden and Tanner, the two in the middle, will be much taller than the other two...eventually.

Bryn took a trip to St. George with her roommates and had a wonderful time hiking, relaxing, and being with Kaitlyn and Ashlyn's family.  They also  shopped, ate out, went to a family ward for church and just enjoyed being spoiled by the Bell's grandparents.
Aubrey was able to go with the Young Women on a big hike.  They hiked up Guadalupe Peak.  It is the tallest peak in Texas.  (8,750')

She hasn't really had many outdoor opportunities and I am grateful to Bishop and Sister Ormsby for making this trip happen.  Aubrey is in great physical shape with all of her athletic workouts at school this year so even though this is a pretty challenging hike, it was very doable for her.  (Oh to be young again!)
Not much to report for Brian and I...no district championship, weekend trips, parties or hikes for us.  We will just continue living through our kids.  My biggest accomplishment was probably working out at the gym.  I did a Zumba class.  He watched most of the Alabama game.  Of course, we did lots of chores around the house and other such exciting things like that.

In the evening we went out to eat with Chris and Angelique.  They have recently gone on two trips and it was fun to hear more about the latest one.  It's nice to have them back in town.
