Ella

Britney was out of town, and I got to keep Ella for the day!  She has tons of personality and is so sweet and happy.  We had fun working and playing together.  (Mostly playing.)
First Uncle Bri, Ella and I were able to go to the Permian pep-rally together.  Her plan was to scream so loudly we would be shocked.  However, it was so loud and chaotic in the gym, she was basically paralyzed.  She just took everything in very solemnly.

The band rocked out.  The majorettes twirled.  The dance team (Panther Paws) performed to a loud, rap type song.  There was a spirit competition between the classes.  (Imagine hundreds of students yelling and cheering and jumping around.)  There was a dance competition between random students chosen from the crowd.   The cheerleaders took several turns cheering and doing stunts.  It was extremely loud and crazy for a full hour straight.

And the picture below shows her reaction for that full hour!!!!
She didn't make a peep and her expression never changed.
When it was all over and most of the students had gone back to class, she was able to relax a little bit more.  We headed to the gym floor to find Parker and get a picture with him.   He snagged a "P" balloon for her.  When any of his friends smiled at her or tried to talk to her, they got no love.  She would go back to no expression on that cute little face.
It was kind of misty so Ella was sure we needed to utilize the umbrella, and then we ran into Charity in the parking lot!  Older cousins are the best.
Once home, we did the dishes, made two kinds of jello, walked over to Gram's, and played hide and seek.  One time I was hiding and she counted and went searching for me.  Then I could hear her in the next room playing with a bouncy ball...she forgot she was looking for me!  I stayed crouched behind the couch for a few extra minutes before I reminded her she was supposed to be finding me.  Bonus rest!  I was kind of tired from going non stop all morning.  :)
We met Gram and Gramp and the Thompsons for lunch at the new Marriott hotel which was very fancy.  That was kind of nice to break up the day a little.  After lunch we looked around the hotel just a bit and of course we had to try out the escalator a few times and the elevator once.  That is the kind of excitement that Aunt Ernie provides when you are spending the day together.
Here is Ella in front of a cool geo rock.  The hotel is beautiful and has over a million dollars worth of artwork in it.  I am not sure we are fancy enough in the Big O for that level of class.  I guess it will be the incoming visitors, not us so much, using it anyway!

Once home, Bri was very sweet to let me take a nap while he and Ella played a few games together.  Then it was time to pick up Char and Hudson and drop everyone off with Gram and Gramp until Adam finished work.  We brought over the little jello cups that Ella made so she could share with the family.  Thanks for making my Friday super fun Ella Bella!
