Shots

Parker has been croupy and cruddy and coughing like crazy for a week.  He has run fever the past three days.  However, we really have to try to make this guy slow down.  It's always been this way.  When he would get sick as a little guy, I could always tell when it was serious.  Life around our house was much calmer because my wild child was somewhat mild.  His body would finally force him to slow down just a little bit.

We made a trip to the doctor on Wednesday.  (Don't worry, although he was running 100.3 and missed school that day, he made all three of his football workouts.)  As a parent, we have to choose our battles, and as my mom sometimes says, "you can't help stupid."

I loved that they gave him a couple of steroid shots.  He is so strong and big and tough....and such a wimp when it comes to shots.  It cracks me up and keeps him humble.  The nurse made him lie down on this table because he was so big.  She didn't want him getting queasy and passing out on her.

I am hoping he feels better soon.  However, between his steady diet of fast food  and his unwillingness to rest, I am not very confident that he will.
