Almost Hawaii

One month ago we were supposed to be on our Hawaiian cruise.  Well, we practically were there this weekend.  Kind of.  Well, not really...but we still had fun.  On Saturday we hit up the Hawaiian Falls water park in The Colony, Texas.
We were required to wear masks entering and exiting the park.  We were also asked to wear them in line for food or going to the restroom.  Otherwise, we were footloose and fancy free.  The park is only allowed to operate at 50% right now, and they weren't anywhere close to that.

Parking was no problem.  Lounge chairs under an umbrella were readily available.  We had a nice picnic table in the shade.  Best of all, there were almost no lines.  The kids were able to go on the slides over and over again without the boring part of waiting for thirty minutes for a turn.  I went on a few slides too, and Brian and I did the lazy river and the waive pool with different kiddos.
We stayed about four hours, and then they were all ready to head back to the house.  I think I might have felt like we wasted the money on going to the water park if they didn't get so many opportunities to do every ride they wanted to try.  It was no Hawaiian cruise, but we had an enjoyable time.
That evening we headed to Papasitos for dinner.  We enjoyed delicious beef fajitas, salsa and chips, shrimp, and sopapillas for dessert.

I'm so glad we were able to squeeze in a little vacation with Brinley before her missionary service started.  It has been a blessing to be back all together again these past four months.  We will miss our Brinley Kate.
