Creating

We've been doing some crafting/creating around here.  Brinley has been making a beautiful book for Kierstin, who is going on a mission.  "101 Reasons Why You'll Be an Amazing Missionary."   It is serious and funny, and she also added lots of memorable pictures.  I think Kierstin will love it forever.  Brinley and I have also been working on personalized mission pillows for three friends.
Brian and I have been making Giant Yahtzee sets to sell.  Painting those indented dots is a pain in the rear.  We are going to experiment with a few other options.
Aubrey created a dessert plate but made it look like fajitas!  It was a labor of love and super impressive.
Of course you've gotta lick the bowl!
She made batter for one crepe three different times in order for her tortilla to turn out how she wanted it to look.  Definitely a work of art.
Plating her masterpiece.
We didn't have frozen strawberries, so her "salsa" didn't turn out quite how she wanted.
Check out this piece of fajita meat made out of brownies.

Parker is out of town with friends and has been creating memories with friends.
Park, Abbey, Cole and Haiylee (He went with Cole and family but the girls are friends from school who also have a lake house there.)

in addition to perfecting his basketball skills, Tanner has been busy creating delays.  When he notices me walking through the den on a mission, he reaches out his arms and wants to snuggle.  This time he trapped me for about 30 minutes.  He physically would not let me leave.  I have to act like I am really put out by his delays, but mostly I am glad my almost sixteen year old will give me the time of day on occasion.
Lastly, Brian has been making this beautiful flag.  It's made up of thirteen pieces of wood which he has cut, stained, fired and glued together.  He's spent hours creating it, and it is even more beautiful in person.
