Lake Day

We rented a boat for four hours on Friday.  I felt like it was just the right amount of time.  The kids rotated wake boarding and tubing and had plenty of turns.  We left about 2:30 and the lake was just starting to get a little more busy.
Bryn was able to pop right up on the wake board.  Park was a little nervous to go on it because he got a concussion a couple of summers ago while wake boarding.  He gave it a try though and was a pro.
Aubrey said it looked like a death machine.  She had no desire to have her feet strapped in sideways while she was trying to ride the waives.  She stuck to tubing.  (And somehow I didn't get pictures of her in action.  I did go out with her on the tube though and that was fun.)

Tanner gave wake boarding a try and figured it out by the end.  He'll be a pro the next time he gets the chance.
Tanner's spot kind of gave me nightmares.  I could just picture him rolling off the end of the boat, hitting the propeller and drowning.  Luckily he was just fine and didn't stay there too long.
Bryn, Park and Tanner drove the boat a little bit.  When Parker was driving, Tanner and Brinley were out on the tube.  I was worried for their lives.  Brinley was giving the "go easy" sign, but Tanner would yawn and act bored every time Parker looked back to check on them.  Of course, Parker couldn't let Tanner mock his boring driving skills.  Tan and Brinley were whipped around a bit.
We were able to go to our little rental, shower and have a relaxing afternoon.  Bryn and I napped.  Park and Tanner headed to a mall with Nike and Under Armour stores.  Bri went to a wood working shop.  Aubrey watched some Netflix.
We wrapped up our evening with an easy dinner: chili dogs or "glizzies" as the boys referred to hot dogs all weekend, mac and cheese, cucumber slices and fruit salad.  Then we played games and tried not to kill each other off with disagreements.  LOVE at home can be tricky.  We have to practice everyday. Parker, Tanner and Brinley finished the night by watching Pirates of the Caribbean.
