Brian was taking Tanner to morning workout at Permian when I received a text from a mom. "Jaden mentioned the guys are heading to your house after Speed and Strength this morning. I just wanted to check with you." Tanner hadn't said a word to me so I knew there must be some confusion. I made a quick call to Brian and luckily he hadn't dropped him off yet. Tanner mentioned he just texted on a group text that they should plan to hang out afterwards one day this week...he didn't mean this day. Then when Brian said he didn't need him to work, Tanner asked if everyone could go ahead and come over today. I'm glad it worked out. I like seeing Tanner with his friends. They are an active, fun group.
Aubrey's friend Breena came over about 1:00 and stayed until 7:30. Brinley got off work at 3:00 and then Morgan came over to hang. Tanner's group left about 5:00. Parker and Brian were home from work about 5:30, and then we finished the night with dinner with the missionaries and the Warriors game. I slipped back to my room and enjoyed a book and a relaxing bath. Overall, a pretty great summer day.

Not so active here but they had just completed an intense 2 hour workout. It took them a couple of hours but then they were out playing b-ball most of the day.

Jaden with the moves. |

Mason, Julian and Jaden were able to come. |

Aub was super bored. We were having the missionaries for dinner and she agreed to make the dessert. She decided on fruit pizza and we headed to the store to get the ingredients. Luckily, in the afternoon, Breena was able to come over. I'm not sure what all they did but two things I know: finished the fruit pizza and did a photo shoot. |
 |
Occasionally they snuck a bite of fruit but I also saw them dutifully washing their hands before touching the pizza again. Good girls. |

I love this. Often I am the one asked to take pictures at Brinley or Aubrey's photo shoots. Bryn and friends also get Aubrey to take the pictures a lot. I liked that the big girls were able to reciprocate.

Elder White and Elder Livingston had a spiritual thought which included each of us sharing our favorite scriptures. Afterwards they challenged us to share it on social media. Aubrey and Parker both picked Heleman 5:12. Grandpa Gwilliam has been good to help them learn the importance of building our life foundation on Jesus Christ. Brinley shared Matthew 11:28-30. When she was stressed with school one semester this scripture about coming unto Christ kept popping up. It made her burden feel lighter each time she read it. Morgan shared one from Doctrine and Covenants that mentions service and then we talked some about her families 12 days of Christmas service activities. Tanner was going for short and sweet. First he shared "Jesus wept" and then switched to "My father dwelt in a tent." I liked how Elder Livingston didn't let it drop there. He expanded on the possible significance of Lehi living in a tent and related it to how we might feel if we had to leave all that we owned. It was nice to wrap up the evening with a spiritual thought led by the missionaries. |
