Back Together Again--Finally

The Birdies are back.  Back to hanging out with us at least.  We are so happy.  We have missed them!  This past Sunday they were planning on joining in our Sunday night family gathering again, but it turned into a larger gathering to celebrate Charity's graduation and Lauron's birthday.  So, the Bird family decided to hold off another week, and we were bummed.
See....lots of friends and family at the Vore home celebrating.

After a fun Sunday evening, we stopped by the Birds to hang out with them in their backyard.  It was wonderful.  The boys began an intense game of baseball.  I love how my big boys (17 and 15) played baseball with their younger cousins (12 and 10).  Parker and Tanner had great examples on how to be a fun older cousin because Joseph 22 and Benjamin 20 were always good to them.
Cousins are the best.

Aubrey was sweet to play with the little girls.  They played "college."  I am not sure what all it entailed but the next morning Ella asked her mom if she could "for real" change her name to Erin.  I knew she wasn't talking about me, but my 24 year old niece who is named after me.  Pretty cute.
Brit, Adam, Brian and I enjoyed chatting on the porch outside of their new shop.
Adam put in this huge swing.  (Hud and Parker pictured)
I love these little girls.  They are sweet and smart and adorable.  According to Brit and Adam, Ella has turned into a drama llama these past couple of months.  We don't believe them!

We only stayed about 45 minutes on Sunday but on Tuesday afternoon, my kids drove over to the Birds for a little more cousin time.
The boys had air-soft wars and the girls baked brownies and played more college.

And then...the Birds brought some of the brownies by our house and visited on Tuesday evening.

They brought Gus too.  See that tiny black kitty in Tanner's arms?
(I love that my boys will sit in my lap...even if they are heavy and sweaty.  Not even exaggerating on the sweaty part.  Tanner had just played basketball, and I had wet marks on my jean shorts when he stood up.)

And then....on Wednesday...Aubrey joined the Birds to swim at Gram and Gramps.

Back together is a great place to be!
