Bryn and Park's Excellent Adventures

Brinley is FINALLY home from her two week adventure.  It seemed like she was gone forever.  The first five days she was in South Padre at the beach.  The next six days she hung out in Houston with Ashlyn and Katelyn and their family.  Lastly, they drove to Dallas to meet up with Kierstin and Alyssa and have a weekend roommate reunion.
We missed this cute face.  It almost felt like she had never been home from college.  The reality of her 18 month mission, which begins in five weeks, is starting to set in.
Reunited again!  Brinley with her room roommate, Kierstin.
I love this picture.  These girls knew their trip would end on Sunday, so they planned of having church together.  They even brought their dresses.  They used to study Come Follow Me as an apartment and ended their roommate reunion by studying one more time together.

When I think of Brinley and her amazing roommates, I think of Alma 5 in The Book of Mormon.

14 And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye aspiritually been bborn of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty cchange in your hearts?

They are engaged in good works, and I can see the light of Christ reflected in their eyes.

They are also silly and crazy nineteen year olds.  I'm grateful, especially since their Freshman year ended so abruptly, that Brinley was able to have one final hurrah to wrap up their year in a more fun way.

Parker was home less than a week and then invited to go to the lake with Austin and some friends.  We really appreciated that it was mid-week and would not interfere with church and keeping the Sabbath day holy, so we gave him the go ahead.  He had a great time floating the river, playing games, entertaining the group with his crazy dancing skills, and hanging out with friends.

Such a fun group...or so I am told...I really only know about half of these kids.  The ones I know are great.
When I can catch Parker between morning workouts and afternoon work, I am going to document some of these pictures!
They extended the trip one more day and swung by Ox Ranch.  Park was pleased to pick up the Axis head he shot last year.  It is such a beautiful animal and it kind of makes me sad.  Brian said, "that is who we have been eating this past year."  I was glad Aubrey wasn't home to hear that comment.  She would probably never touch meat again.  Park was pleased though.  He and Austin are good friends and they have had a lot of fun adventures together the past two years.  (Where are we going to mount that large animal!?!?)
