I think this holographic vinyl is so pretty.
Aubrey helped make this white one for part of Lauron's birthday gift.
Last year when I took Brinley up to BYU, I found myself at the all day parent orientation without a bag to carry my lunch, my water, all of the papers and promotional materials they were handing out. I found this Women's Conference bag on clearance at at the bookstore. I LOVE IT! It is big and has several pockets. I've used it as a carry on bag at the airport, at church for all of my Relief Society stuff and at football games to carry gloves, hand warmers, hot chocolate and a blanket. I seriously love it.I did try to take the logo off with acetone one day, and that didn't really work. See the faded logo above? I finally got around to trying my heat transfer vinyl on it. I wasn't sure how the synthetic material would do under a heat press, but I decided to give it a try anyway.First, I printed out a black circle to cover the original logo. Then I found a cute monogram to use and printed it on white.
Wa-la!! I think it turned out really cute. I should have taken care of this months ago.
The past few days I have been figuring out these Father's Day gifts. Someone posted in a Facebook group I am in, and they even gave directions on how they made it work. However, the directions were for a Cricut machine and software, and I have a Silhouette.
I have probably spent at least 4 hours figuring out how to layer the photo under the letters, crop it, outline the letters and make the writing underneath the photo actually print on the printer. Whew. I've spent a few more hours creating some examples, trouble shooting, and running around town purchasing frames and photo paper. I'm not complaining though...it has been nice having a project. I am hoping to sell a few on Facebook Marketplace the next few weeks.
