Real Life

I had a little reality check on Monday morning, and I felt a little cray-cray.  I clearly have forgotten how busy life can be.  The last two and a half months have been slow going.  They have lulled me into a calmness that doesn’t really exist in my usual world.

Monday was not a calm day.

My day started at 3:45 am when I couldn't sleep and decided to work on a blog post for a little bit.  I had actually been trying to finish it up late Sunday night, but Tanner was bored and insisted Brinley and I play him in Monopoly Deal.  That kid is crazy...but I digress.

I worked on the blog until 5:00 am and headed back to bed.  The boys started Speed an Strength workouts that morning.  We had online paperwork to fill out and rides to coordinate.  Parker's football went from 6:50-10:30.  Tanner's first day of basketball workouts were from 8:15-9:30.  I needed to take and pick up Tanner, so that affected my gym workout. Bryn and I still made a mad dash up to Mission Fitness to get her signed up and a 45 minute workout in.

I needed to order contacts for Brinley.  We are trying to wrap up those last few things for her mission.  She leaves in 35 days.  Of course, the  doctor's office was closed and then I had to call multiple places to find were we had ordered her contacts last year.  Then Brinley ordered a year's supply at 1-800-Contacts, but then I remembered Walmart online was a better deal last year.  I researched Walmarts price, called 1-800-Contacts and they matched it.  It saved us $54 so it was worth the hassle.

Parker started his first day of work and needed his social security number and his banking info.

I cleaned a bathroom and worked on laundry.   My phone kept on ringing all day long which has not happened in the past few months.

Luckily, Brinley was home.  I really would have been stressed without her.  She ran to the grocery store in the morning and made dinner that night.  She also loaded and unloaded the dishwasher in between.  Bless her!

Tanner asked to have three friends over.

I set up a Zoom Relief Society meeting for Thursday and posted on our Facebook page.  I also sent out emails.  As a presidency, we are wrapping up ministering interviews for the quarter and contacting members about church starting up.

I worked on some Father's Day frame orders and delivered one to a lady who was on bed rest.  (Usually I have customers pick up from the front door.)

It was just a crazy day.

I guess we are getting back to real life.
