I Lost the Bet

On Tuesday, Aubrey had her final check up from her nasal surgery last March.  We were sitting in the waiting room and she was being goofy with this tape.  I told her how when I was a teen a remember my dad and I were going out for ice cream.  He had some goggles in the car and I put them on.  He dared me to wear them in the ice cream shop and act like nothing was unusual.  When I said "no way" he offered me $10 if I did it.  I wore them.  They kept fogging up and I couldn't stop giggling.  We ran into someone he knew and I had to act like wearing swimming goggles to eat out was normal.  It's a fun memory.

Aubrey asked if she wore the tape right between her eyes would I give her $10.  We both kept laughing and I didn't think she would make it...but she did!  Even when she sat in the chair and they had to put a camera up her nasal passage, she kept it on.  The nurse looked at her and said, "I'm not even going to ask about the tape."  We both just giggled.  Then the doctor came in and laughed and asked about the tape.  She told him our bet.  She had to wear it out to the parking lot.  Many people did double takes but by the end, she was a pro.  She didn't even look or act embarrassed.  Way to rock that tape crazy girl!
