We met at the Vore's and celebrated Charity and Brian's birthdays.
This picture is from the beginning of our gathering. The one below is towards the end. I love how everyone rotates where they sit and who they talk to throughout the night.
The group expands and contracts depending on the year. At times over the years my cousins, Laurel and Dani, and their families have joined in. Angelique's brother and his family and her parents moved to Odessa about 10 years ago and they come on Sunday nights about once every month or two. Kyla McKown lived with Chris and Ang for a year and she and her husband come to family gatherings fairly often. Friends stop in on occasion as well.
In this picture I love all of the random pairings. Tanner is on the ottoman and Isaiah is laying on Tanner's back. (Isaiah is Chris and Ang's nephew.) Adam and Kyla are chatting it up. (Both of their spouses were not able to come this Sunday.) David and Benjamin; Morgan (Hill), Brinley (see her legs) and Parker; and Emily Martin and Adam Bird are in front of the fireplace. We have Grandma and Grandpa Honey (Ang's parents) on the couch with Brian. This is family. This is love.
Ella had a toy cell phone and she was all about taking selfies with Uncle Brian (aka Dad at our house.) They also had the cutest conversation on their phones. She was away at college and she knew just how to talk like a teenager. She used the word "like" numerous times and when Bri asked her how long she would be gone she said "hmmm, probably like 19 years."
Charity is 17! We enjoyed brownie sundaes. We actually had a dessert break the fast in Odessa 4th ward today so for once my sweet tooth could not handle any more sweets.
